Ighten Mount started out as a bowling club many, many years ago with teams in many local leagues. The flood lit bowling green has been popular with bowlers throughout generations and the large green has been a venue for a number of major cross Lancashire tournaments.
Over the years the club has evolved from a Bowling club in to a more generalised Sports & Social club, Its members once upon a time were exclusive, but these days not so much, Welcoming Members, None-Members, Families & Visitors from all ages and walks of life.

In addition to the upper lounge the club has a large function room which is available for hire. Located on the ground floor the room can accommodate up to 150 people in comfort, and offers a separate room for the buffets etc. With a large dance floor and fitted DJ booth, the room is a must view before booking eleswhere.
